Journey Blog Hop - Outdoor Fun

Welcome to the Amazing Journey Blog Hoppers Hop! This month's theme is OUTDOOR FUN. I'm so happy you're hoping' along! If you arrived here from Karen's blog, you're on the right track. If not, that's ok too! Just continue the hop and you'll come full circle!

Please don't forget to click the NEXT button at the bottom to continue on the hop with Ruth's blog.

I created a fun set of note cards using the Stained Glass Animals set. It's my favorite kind of outdoor fun during the warmer months to lay on my back and count the stars. I love to look at the skies at night in the winter, too. I hope to some day see the Aurora Borealis. That was my inspiration for these images.

So, here's how I created these note cards.

I went darker on the images themselves and when they were dry, I applied some a little Wink of Stella and Journey Glaze. Rather than apply the glaze dimensionally, I used my Journey Blending Brush to paint it on. Note: Be sure and immediately clean your brush so that the glaze does not get dry and ruin the tip of your brush.

Once everything was dry, I trimmed my Color Splash Sheets to 3.75" squares and mounted them on 4" squares of Black Licorice Cardstock and then adhered them to 4.25x8.5" Whip Cream Cardstock card bases using Journey White Liner adhesive.

I really love the finished effect. They sparkle quite a bit in person!
